Missouri River Outdoors
Overview
Missouri River Outdoors is located just outside of Elk Point, S.D., on one of the most pristine sections along the 2,300-mile Missouri River. As one of the nation’s most prominent waterways, it is renowned worldwide for its walleye fishing. Other fishermen come seeking bass or other species. Because of the popularity of walleye fishing among anglers in South Dakota, walleye populations are intensively managed by the State Game, Fish and Parks Department. Every spring, more than 100 million eggs are collected to supply the state hatchery system.
